Sundigger's photo exhibition
24 January 2013

The Rule: This one's unique! Sunil Sandeep is not only a regular contestant in Friday events but also a brilliant Indian photographer who's doing an exhibition of his work at Sampram Art Gallery (Saras Watipuram, Mysore) on Februrary 15th.
A part of it will be slideshows of his pictures, so why not help him and do a soundtrack for those? This will probably be for you the only opportunity to have your music played on a Mac laptop in an Indian art gallery - you don't want to miss it! Then Sunil will make some picture/video of the thing running next month when it will take place. If you want to know more I'll give a presention of Sunil Sandeep in the comments.

In the meantime here's a picture of him with a picture from him.

(believe it or not, he has just shaved his beard since then and looks like a twelve-year old boy)

You'll be able to get to work on three different slideshows:

  • Sundigger Photo Exhibition: Frozen Moments #1 & #2
Make a soundtrack for this slideshow (download LQ mp4 to use with a video VST player - like this one for PC ):
  • Sundigger Photo Exhibition: Emotions Unearthed #1 & #2
Make a soundtrack for this slideshow (LQ MP4):
  • Sundigger Photo Exhibition: Colours of Conciousness #1 & #2
Make a soundtrack for this slideshow (LQ MP4):

Bonus Track

  • Sundigger Photo Exhibition: Integral
Make a soundtrack for this slideshow (LQ MP4):

This one is all three combined. That's 12 minutes long, which is just half of 24 minutes, so stop complaining and make good music.

You'll be able to join one or many of those projects via the public tab. You can also ask Red_Force or Jamie on the chan if you feel you could get some help. We'll be there until 2AM GMT at least but probably longer. Beginner welcomed (download here, setup audio and learn the basics here)!

Oh and if you don't know what those collab fridays are about, this should help.

Rev. 71842 released
18 January 2013
  • New: Snapshots let you create multiple backups of your Ohm Studio Projects.
Choose Make Snapshots in the File menu to create a new Snapshot.
Choose Restore Snapshots in the File menu to revert back to an older version of your Project.
Additionally you can Clone a Project and still have access to the original Project's Snapshots!

  • Improvement: the Playhead now accepts negative values when recording with the Preroll option enabled.
For example, you can start recording right from 1.1.1.0 and still get a count-in when Preroll is enabled.

  • Fix: fixed a bug that caused the Inspector to be empty when several Patterns were selected.
For example, it is now possible to rename several Patterns at once using the Inspector.

  • Fix: fixed a bug that caused the Chat and Gear Panel to become unresponsive in Double-Fullscreen mode.

  • Fix: fixed a bug that caused keyboard shortcuts such as Esc and Enter / Return not to work with dialog boxes.
Moods Mashup
17 January 2013

The Rule: this is a rare opportunity to make your mood swing ang receive public support in the process. This week's theme will be about making tracks that start in a mood and change to another at some point. • ... Dreamy to Epic!

  • ... Cheerful to Tense!

  • ... Calm to Dramatic!

Bonus Track:

  • ... Ethereal to Sexy to Epic! (man, this one may be quite the thing...)

You'll be able to join one or many of those projects via the public tab. You can also ask Red_Force or Jamie on the chan if you feel you could get some help. We'll be there until 2AM GMT at least but probably longer. Beginner welcomed (download here, setup audio and learn the basics here)!

Music Time Machine
9 January 2013

Ohm Studio users are of all ages, from old to young chap, so hopefully this one should have something for everyone. Imagine you have a car (say a Delorean, for no particular reason) that can travel through all music ages (and also make cool burning rubbers on asphalt and cats).

The Rule: jump in the Music Time Machine and tune the radio FM to your favorite period. Join one of the many projects and make a track that could have been made in year...

Bonus Track:

  • Music Time Machine: 2021

You'll be able to join one or many of those project via the public tab. You can also ask Red_Force or Jamie on the chan if you feel you could use some help. We'll be there until 2AM GMT at least but probably longer. Beginner welcomed (download here, setup audio and learn the basics here)!

So Many BPM
4 January 2013

It seems from the previous Friday that having a series of different projects to visit and complete is somehow funnier - and helps to see each of them completed while letting room for everyone to focus on stuff he or she likes best. So let's try more of that by mixing it with a now classic theme. (note: if you don't know what our collab fridays are, please check this video)

The Rule: 7 projects await for all the valorous ohmites to bring them to life. Each of them has one and only one rule: imposed tempo.

  • 42 BPM
    So Many BPM!  (actually 42)

  • 70 BPM
    So Many BPM!  (actually 70)

  • 98 BPM
    So Many BPM!  (actually 98)

  • 126 BPM
    So Many BPM!  (actually 126)

  • 164 BPM
    So Many BPM!  (actually 164)

  • 192 BPM
    So Many BPM!  (actually 192)

And for the most adventurous:

  • BPM raise from where you want to where you can, you fool!
So Many BPM!  (as much as you can eat)

You come and join what you want via the public tab. You can also ask Red_Force or Jamie on the chan if you feel you could use some help. We'll be there until 2AM GMT at least but probably longer. Beginner welcomed (download here, setup audio and learn the basics here)!
