Rack

A Rack is a chain of Plugins connected to one another.

The audio signal goes through each Plugin one after the other in a top-down direction.

A Rack always contains a least one Plugin, which is the Volume Plugin, at the end of its chain.

Types of Rack:

In the Sequencing Panel, a Rack Header is located at the left of a Track Header and groups together all the Tracks belonging to the Plugins hosted by the Rack.

In the Gear Panel's Mixer View, a Rack appears as a channel strip of a mixing console and Plugins appear as inserts.

In the Gear Panel's Modular View, a Rack appears as a traditional hardware rack and Plugins appear as sound modules mounted on that Rack.
