This page contains installation instructions for the Windows version of OHMPLUG.
For instructions on how to install the Mac version, please see this article.

The installation requires two steps: first, install UVI Workstation, which is the sampling engine alone. Then install the OhmPlug sound data. You need both to make OhmPlug work in Ohm Studio.

UVI Workstation

First of all, you need to download and install UVI Workstation, which is a completely free, yet powerful multi-timbral Instrument developed by UVI.
To learn more about UVI Workstation, please go to: http://www.uvi.net/en/software/uvi-workstation.html

  1. If you ever installed PACE before, uninstall it first. It will reinstall with UVI Workstation and this can avoid a crytpic bug.
  2. Click here to download the version 2.1.8 of UVI Workstation. This is the latest working version to date. Please do not use v2.1.9 as it is known to sometimes fail to load in Ohm Studio.
  3. Launch the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note 1: you may have to restart your computer in order to complete installation
Note 2: The PACE installation may fail if you already have an old version installed. Try to uninstall it first.
  4. Make sure to install it in a vst folder that Ohm Studio can see (edit/pref/vst to define that). If you have no idea what would that be, you can rely on the default vst folder which is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\

OHMPLUG is a sound bank designed specially for Ohm Studio. It provides a large collection of high quality instruments and loops ready for use inside UVI Workstation. On top of that, it's completely free!

  1. Choose one of the following archive file format, and click on its link to download it:
    ZIP format - 986 MB
    RAR format - 673 MB

  2. Extract the ZIP/RAR archive which contains the actual OHMPLUG sound bank
  3. Move the file named OhmPlug.ufs in the following folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\UVISoundBanks\
Note 1: if you cannot find this folder, look for a folder named C:\Program Files\UVISoundBanks
Note 2: if you want to use another folder, simply open UVI Worksation's preferences panel and add that folder to the list of "search paths".

  4. Next time you launch UVI Workstation inside Ohm Studio, you'll able to find OhmPlug under the list of available sound banks
